Happy Anniversary to Bliss Bridal!

We were happy to provide valet parking at Bliss Bridal's one year anniversary celebration last week over at One World Theatre. It was a fairly busy night and many of the attendees were our fellow workers in the wedding industry and it was great to see so many friends who we'd worked with the past several years. Bliss Bridal is a stylish quarterly magazine which has been serving the Austin area for the past year - you can find them in many locations around town and we hope to see them for years to come.

We've worked at One World Theatre plenty of times in the past, providing parking for multiple concerts there as well as many weddings throughout the years. They've got nice views of the Texas hill country, and while we've sometimes had to get creative, we've always found room for parking on-site for even the busiest of events.

F1 Weekend Review

Uptown Valet and Transportation had our busiest weekend ever with the Formula One races in Austin back in November. We had a host of parties to valet at, our chauffeurs working round the clock and official Circuit of the Americas shuttles to drive and manage.

We started back in August, with the Circuit of the Americas Shift into Style Austin Fashion Week kick-off. A busy event at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum, it was an exciting night and an excellent combination of events, as Circuit of the Americans and Austin Fashion Week both know how to put on a show.

The weekend of the races, we had valet attendants at multiple parties Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. We parked more cars in that time than probably any three day period, with venues ranging from southeast Austin near the track, to downtown, to out closer to Johnson City where we parked cars for a party sponsored by Ferrari. We also had shuttles wrapped with Circuit of the Americas branding in service throughout the weekend in addition to our chauffeurs working in all our cars as well as some that we made use of just for the weekend.  We closed out the weekend by returning to the Bob Bullock Museum, managing parking for the Circuit of the Americas Official After Party.

It was a busy weekend that we were happy to have gotten through well. Our staff and the people we worked with all weekend long were fantastic, and we look forward to working on Circuit of the Americas F1 events in Austin in 2013.

Ferrari Berlinetta Auctioned for Sandy Relief

We worked with Ferrari of Austin several month ago, but recently we provided valet services for a much larger Ferrari event. Ferrari was one of multiple car manufacturers hosting parties in Austin for the F1 Circuit of the Americas weekend and they had a large party where the centerpiece was a 2013 Ferrari Berlinetta auctioned off to help with Hurricane Sandy relief.

The car itself was a red 2013 Berlinetta, one of just four in North America, and came with some added bonuses that kept in line with Ferrari's decades of racing experience. Yahoo! had an article on it in their auto section that we read up on, since we weren't able to see that end of the party, aswe were busy working and ensuring the people who entrusted their cars to us were properly taken care of and that we did everything possible to assist the event planners on hand.

We provided plenty of staff for the event and had people there in the days and hours leading up the event to help coordinate staff parking, manage deliveries and unloading, and ensure that when the rest of our staff arrived for the party that we would know everything we needed to get to work. It was a busy and rapidly-changing environment, and our presence prior to the official start of the event allowed us to valet vehicles for some VIP guests when they came early and some changes were thrown our way.

The event ran smoothly, and we were able to handle valeting all the cars, dealing with chauffeur dropoffs, and managing traffic on a one-way drive very well throughout the night. When it was realized that cell phone reception was spotty and that most chauffeurs wouldn't be able to hear from their clients, we got them together and were able to find them quickly when their clients came to us.

It was our largest event of a busy Formula One weekend and were happy to have it in the books and run smoothly. We enjoyed working with Ferrari and were happy to helped them out as they celebrated the weekend and raised money for charity.

Uptown Valet at Lexus of Austin

Uptown Valet and Transportation recently provided valet services for a large event at Lexus of Austin.

It was a busy night for us, and one of our larger events of the fall, with around 150 cars parked and most all of our staff working the event. Lexus of Austin kindly moved some cars around to open up space for us in their parking lot and we were able to keep all the cars on their property with room to spare.

A fun facet of working at car dealerships is that not only are nice cars arriving at the event, but they're also on the showroom floor. The Lexus LFA, seen below, is always an eye-catcher and gets envious looks from party attendees and valets alike.

It was enjoyable working with Lexus of Austin; they always put on top-notch events, and we were happy to be able to help their night run as smoothly as possible.
